Cameras and lenses receive the glory for producing photographs while the rest of the support equipment stay in the sidelines. Here we give our equipment a chance to be the center of attention. One thing I have found true over time is that all gear is not created equal. Light meters operate in different ways depending on the type of photography. Camera bags good for a street walk might not be up to a week long travel opportunity. Hence, like backpacking, we try lots of different gear until we get to know the gear and it becomes second nature to pick for a specific outing.
