The Fuji X100s handles high ISO’s very well and produces superb JPEG’s that can be easily printed to large formats.  I have always been a fan of RAW images, but keeping high volumes of RAW images, especially uncompressed images, can quickly eat disk space and cause backup nightmares.  Thus, I wanted to test the X100s for the quality of JPEGs.  These are untouched photos except for the standard sharpening applied by Lightroom, although I continue to maintain that you always sharpen an image at the end for the intended use.  The key here is the range of tones and dynamic nature of the ISO 3200 JPEG’s.  RAW images are very comparable next to these.

The last image was one of my favorite, showing the artist brushes housed in one of her pots.  The yellow is bright, but not too saturated.  The shadows are well graduated and the overall look is great.  These were all shot using the Standard film setting.
